Château de Reignac is a Bordeaux estate uniquely positioned between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers. Its location brings together two celebrated Bordeaux terroirs — those of the Right and Left Banks — within a single vineyard. Known for its exceptional quality-to-price ratio, the estate has earned recognition through blind tastings by the European Grand Jury and high scores from leading international tasters. This reputation is built on a deep-rooted commitment to quality and a remarkable terroir, with consistency driven by innovation and precision that define Reignac's identity.

About This Wine

Grand Vin de Reignac is an exceptional cuvée, representing the best of Bordeaux Supérieur. Produced from the estate's finest vines, it combines elegance, complexity, and depth. Each vintage reflects Château de Reignac's unique terroir through traditional winemaking and French oak aging.

2014 Vintage

This vintage opens with an elegant, subtle bouquet of cocoa bean, vanilla, and wild berries, underpinned by gentle spice and fruity notes. The palate is smooth and balanced, with a round body lifted by lively freshness. Fine, integrated tannins support its well-built structure. With ripe character, supple texture, and an elegant finish, it shows refinement and depth. Well-structured and age-worthy, it can be enjoyed now or cellared confidently.

2018 Vintage

Beautifully crafted, the 2018 vintage offers a seductive nose of inky fruits, fine spice, and a refined hint of toasted wood. The palate is dense, ample, and persistent, finishing long and velvety. Layers of ripe red and dark berries, floral hints, spice, and chocolate bring depth and complexity. Finely woven tannins and a focused structure promise excellent aging. Described by Andreas Larsson, Best Sommelier in the World 2007, as a wine where "nothing is left to chance" and "Reignac could be the definition of a great wine". Opened in its youth, a short decant reveals the wine's full character.

2019 Vintage

This vintage opens with a seductive nose of dark fruits and fine spice, lifted by a refined touch of toasted wood. Juicy cassis, blackberry, and raspberry lead the palate, followed by subtle notes of blueberry, Morello cherry, coffee, and spice. Smooth and complex, it is velvety in texture with integrated tannins and a rounded finish, balancing fruit and spice beautifully. Approachable now, yet structured enough to age with grace.

2020 Vintage

Precise and expressive, the 2020 vintage reveals a layered bouquet of cassis, plum, dark berries, floral notes, and gentle spice. The palate is full-bodied, fleshy, and fresh, with clarity and depth. Hints of liquorice, toasted hazelnut, and vanilla add richness without overshadowing the fruit. Polished tannins and a mineral-driven structure frame a detailed and generous profile. Already refined, it will continue to evolve beautifully with age.

Classic Pairings

This full-bodied red pairs beautifully with red meats and game, such as rack of lamb, filet mignon, roasted duck and mature or aged cheeses. The younger vintages show robust character suited to grilled meats and hearty fare, while the 2014 vintage is more refined and matches delicate dishes like lamb or mushroom risotto. Its rich elegance make it a perfect choice for special occasions.

Locally Loved Pairings

Try it with braised pork belly, pen cai, or sweet and sour pork. Its complexity handles rich sauces and slow-cooked dishes with finesse.
